Only Gaspard offers silk thread embroidery and hand-painted touches, and it’s all thanks to our artists Tim and Dian. Tim is our embroidery expert, and he is skilled at creating exquisitely intricate designs. He uses a wide variety of colors to create a detailed, almost painterly style. While Tim “paints” with silk thread, Dian uses paint to add a classic, realistic touch to the faces of Christ, the Holy Family and the Saints. In fact, to accurately reflect the appearance of the Saints, Dian often works from historical references. Be sure to ask us about Tim and Dian’s custom design work.
