Giving Old Collections New Life
April 14, 2022
Back in December a Deacon from the Diocese of Little Rock, Arkansas came to Gaspard wanting to recreate the original Dalmatic he received from the Gaspard Serigraph Series when he became a Deacon. He wanted to gift the Dalmatics to all of the upcoming Deacons for their ceremony. The Serigraph Series was first introduced in the 1980s and was printed using a method called screen printing and was an affordable, inflation-beating vestment perfect for any liturgical season. Unfortunately, Gaspard no longer prints using screen printing and with the advancements of printing technology we agreed to use a method called Sublimation printing to bring the garments back to life. Sublimation printing prints the image directly onto the fabric to ensure the image will never fade or crack giving you a vestment that will be used for years and years to come!
Gaspard produced over 60 Dalmatics for the Diocese of Little Rock. Check out the pictures below to see some of the process being completed!
