Meet the Makers:Martha

At Gaspard Inc., every stitch tells a story—and today, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest storytellers: Martha, a talented seamstress whose passion for her craft has quickly made her an invaluable part of our team.

Martha may be new to Gaspard, but she’s already made a big impression. She chose to work in the world of liturgical apparel because, as she puts it, “this type of clothing isn’t common—you don’t see it every day, and each piece comes with its own set of unique details and challenges.” For Martha, that’s exactly what makes her work so rewarding. “When I finish sewing an item and see how beautiful it is, it makes me feel very happy,” she shares.

A typical day for Martha at Gaspard is a pleasure. She’s surrounded by excellent colleagues and a supportive, collaborative team. Her favorite product to work on? The Dalmatic. “It’s such a beautiful garment, and I love the process of bringing it to life,” Martha says. Ensuring her work meets Gaspard’s high standards is a point of pride—she always makes sure she has all the necessary tools and materials ready before she starts, so every project is completed with precision and care.

One thing that might surprise you about Martha’s job? “How clean and organized the process is, from start to finish,” she reveals. Creating something so intricate might seem chaotic, but Martha’s workspace—and her approach—are all about order and attention to detail.

When she’s not at work, Martha enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at home. She believes that balance is key, and she brings that same sense of harmony to her sewing.

Martha also wants to share what makes Gaspard such a special place to work: “It’s a great opportunity to be here. Ashley, our supervisor, supports us, helps us to be more efficient, and is always empathetic with the team.” That sense of support and community is at the heart of Gaspard—and it’s why talented team members like Martha thrive here.
