Meet the Makers:Maty

At Gaspard, our team is made up of talented individuals who bring passion and care to every stitch. Maty, one of our dedicated seamstresses, has been part of the Gaspard family for three years. Her journey here is a special one—she joined the team to work alongside her sister, Lupe, who is also a seamstress at Gaspard.

For Maty, a typical workday starts early in the quiet of the workshop. She loves the peaceful setting, allowing her to focus, enjoy her craft, and take pride in everything she helps create. Whether she’s working on vestments, banners, or any of our handcrafted pieces, Maty puts her best into every project. “I love working on everything we produce here,” she shares. “I’m proud of my work because I always do my best.”

But Maty’s talents don’t stop at the sewing table. Outside of Gaspard, she gives back to her community as a First Communion and Confirmation catechism teacher. She also shares her love of music by teaching guitar. Her dedication to helping others and her commitment to quality shine through in everything she does.

Maty is truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Gaspard team. “I really appreciate this job and the chance to work here,” she says.
