Saint Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel is one of the most popular and well-known saints in Christianity. He is known as the patron saint of police officers, soldiers, and paramedics. This is because he is often seen as a defender of justice and protector of the innocent. He is also invoked when one is in need of strength and courage.  

Michael and the Archangels

The title of archangel is given to angels who are seen as closer to God than other angels and who have special tasks or responsibilities. Michael, along with Gabriel and Raphael, are seen in the catholic church as archangels. In the bible, Michael is specifically mentioned as an archangel. The name Michael translates to “Who is like God?” Saint Michael is viewed a s supreme power and to many, viewed as a leader of God’s army.

Saint Michael’s Feast Day

Saint Michael’s Feast Day is celebrated on September 29th. He is celebrated along with the other archangels - Gabriel and Raphael.
